So, some of my friends think it's ok to take 50% of someone else's money in taxes because they'll never be part of the top 2% of wage earners. Well you are right, you won't with that attitude.
What is with the attitude of being so angry at people that have more than you? Are we really that petty in the U.S.? My god, why in the hell do you want to take someone else's property away from them? Can someone, anyone, tell me why are we this pathetic?

Netflix
Sooo...Netflix is going to change it's pricing I see. Right now I pay $9.99 a month for streaming and one DVD at a time. I really don't use the one DVD feature, so I think I'll be paying Netflix a couple of dollars less per month just to keep streaming. So NetFlix, instead of increasing your revenue, you've lost some with me. I think that if most of us just pick one, then Netflix will lose 20% of their money. Kind of sucks to be them...
Background
I'm older. I came about right after the babyboomers, so I've been here awhile. I was raised in Georgia, USA,but grew up in San Diego, USA. I joined the Marines in 1987 and did 5 years. I've been married twice, but neither took.
I'm at a particular point where I want my life to be peaceful. (Peace not being the lack of conflict, but the ability to cope.) So I have decided to try writing this blog to help me cope with some of the insane things people do in the name of Justice, God, or "for our own good".
I'm not a Democrat or Republican, but I tend to side with Republicans on financial issues and with Democrats on social issues. I don't believe we live in a democracy. Democracy means "Mob Rules". I believe this is a Constitutional Republic. That means we have representatives that vote for us. If we don't like the way they vote, we can and should get rid of them. I believe that most people donot fall into the mold of either party. I, myself, think we should have the freedom and liberty to make our own decisions as much as possible and succeed or fail accordingly. I don't think that government should take care of us. We should take care of ourselves. But I don't believe in God. I think we shouldn't take some arbitrary piece of literature and elevate it to the words of some mythic being and try to live our lives that way. Especially not something as contradictory as the "Bible".
Now I have the first part out of the way. I can post my thoughts on current events now.

An experiment in expression
Hello everyone. This is my personal blog where I can talk about anything that I want. Sometimes it'll be political, social or just random wanderings. I designed this blog just so I can vent things. I, also, don't have the right to an audience, so you are free to leave at any time.
